Imagine A Place to be Among Friends, (Drawings), 2016

Imagine A Place to be Among Friends, (Drawings), 2016, is an on-going serial exploration in graphite, ink and colored pencil. These drawings are 10.25 x 10.25 inches and are based on stills generated by Imagine A Place to be Among Friends, a high-definition, single channel video animation created using the Processing coding language and an open-source Raspberry Pi single board computer. This artwork uses computational algorithms to generate insignia for as yet uncreated queer social groups based on the designs of previously existing queer leather club patches and artwork located in the Leather Archives and Museum in Chicago, IL.
