Sunset Serenade, 2006

Sunset Serenade uses a loop of found footage Super 8 film and a live camera feed of audience members as they attempt to awkwardly and uncomfortably learn how to dance the Foxtrot through a pair of headphones. The found footage features a couple as they dance together, effortlessly moving on film silently above the struggling audience participant.

Max/Msp and Jitter programming were employed to create this interactive work that examines the success and failure of modern technology in social experiences.
